Sensata Technologies to serve automotive ’Hotrod’ customization market with high–performance aftermarket sensors
Durable, accurate pressure sensors for performance vehicles showcased at SEMA
Las Vegas, Nevada | October 30, 2006 | As the demand for higher performance in the automotive aftermarket accelerates, custom fuel injection and exhaust system manufacturers are looking for pressure sensor ranges and durability beyond the capabilities of stock OEM electronics. The company will be showcasing key pressure sensor products during the SEMA show this week at booth #24401.
Many common racing system upgrades require robust sensors that can withstand the increased pressures, vibrations and other extreme conditions common in these aftermarket products. Precision tuned fuel injection and exhaust systems both place pressure and temperature demands on electronics that could compromise the overall performance and longevity of these systems if the electronics fail. Sensata Technologies’ proven ASIC signal processing, combined with rugged packaging originally designed for heavy–duty industrial applications, is suited for these conditions and enables custom modifications to perform better and last longer.
